The Brief
Davines commissioned The Factory Creative to visualise two global lifestyle collections introducing innovative hair colour techniques for 2021. Shadow Prints explored the use of darker panels in unconventional areas to bring new depth and brightness to grey or white hair, while Sculpture Prints launched “Sculptoning” — a freehand technique that sculpts blonde hair using contrasting tones. Both collections needed to feel timeless yet forward-thinking, translating technical artistry into inspiring visual storytelling for professionals and consumers alike.
Our Role & The Outcome
Led by Creative Director and Director of Photography Sean Collymore, The Factory Creative collaborated with Davines Hair Art Director Tom Connell and Colour Ambassador Ashleigh Hodges to craft the creative narrative, direct both shoots, and oversee the stills and motion production. The resulting campaigns blended aspirational imagery with educational precision: Shadow Prints showcased how shadow panels enhance natural texture and luminosity, while Sculpture Prints revealed the sculptural beauty of blonde as a raw material. Published globally, the collections reinforced Davines’ reputation for creative innovation and became a key asset for education and marketing worldwide.
