Over the last three years, we have successfully collaborated with L’Oréal Professionnels Nordics, assisting them in building and designing their in-house creative studios and training their educators to produce and shoot their own digital content.
L’Oréal Professionnels Nordics approached The Factory Creative when they decided to close all their physical training academies in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, with the plan to condense education and training onto their new online portal. This decision presented numerous challenges, including a lack of a creative studio, equipment, and employees ranging in age and experience in content creation.
We began the project by helping the client design and create floor plans for a creative studio to be located in each head office in all four Nordic countries. The next step was to determine what filming equipment each studio required, including high-end video cameras, professional lighting, camera lenses, live streaming capabilities, and other accessories.
After building the studios and purchasing equipment, The Factory Creative were due to fly to each country to train the educators on how to use the new equipment. However, this was just before the COVID-19 pandemic, so we were unable to complete the training sessions in person as planned. Instead, we hosted weekly live webinars from the UK, which included demonstrations on using the same camera equipment and rounding it off a Q&A session.
To help the educators learn at their own pace we were tasked with creating a 50-video Masterclass Series with 11 different modules, which provided in-depth training not only on the purchased equipment but also on the fundamentals of exposing correctly for film and photography. Topics ranged from Pre-Production; Planning Your Content to Hosting Your Own Live Stream. Each module was researched, scripted and shot bespoke to the clients requirements.
When flights resumed, we visited all four Nordic capitals and hosted live training seminars twice a year. During these seminars, we met with our clients' educators face-to-face over a two-day period and conducted workshops and theoretical practices on digital content creation.
The entire project has been a complete success, and the educators are now producing and shooting their own digital content in a studio with high-end camera equipment. We are proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with L’Oréal Professionnels Nordics.
